This month’s program features two presenters on "Gardening As Spiritual Practice.”
Anton Shannon, Assistant Manager/Farmer with The Monocacy Farm Project, will speak about the mission and work of The Monocacy Farm Project, as well as reflect on the spiritual aspects of food production and land stewardship. The Monocacy Farm Project is a non-profit educational initiative of the School Sisters of Francis in Bethlehem PA, who are committed to feeding the hungry, caring for the earth, and growing healthy communities.
Pamela Boyce Simms, Buddhist-Quaker, focuses on food sovereignty and water access that extends from village grassroots work with local partners throughout the African Diaspora and with the Quaker-led Earthcare Coalition. She will speak about the medicinal herbs gardening project in which several Friends’ meetings participate.
Please consider joining them!
