Drones Over Newtown Meeting

The first burial in Newtown Friends Meeting burial ground was Jacob Janney, who died in 1820. As was customary at the time, there was no headstone, so his exact resting place is unknown.

Over the years, sections were added and Friends were interred. Individual maps were made of the four sections, but there was never one, large comprehensive drawing.

Paul Shaffer, recently retired Bristol Meeting clerk and current drone pilot was asked to fly his drone over the burial grounds, periodically taking photos that will be stitched into that large, comprehensive drawing.
