Daffodil Planting at the Burial Ground

Enhancing the Makefield-Yardley burial grounds’ “no-mow” area, a crew of six Yardley Friends, six Makefield Friends, and a dozen Girl Scouts and their leaders planted almost 300 daffodil bulbs.

The digging with the dry weather was accomplished with picks, trowels and a lot of energy and patience.

Cramer’s cookies and Solebury Orchard cider were served.

Look for an updated post in the spring when the flowers will – hopefully – grow into their golden glory.
