Toy & Food Drive at Middletown Meeting

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 9 a.m. to noon Middletown Friends Meeting youth and Meeting volunteers will host a double donation drive-through collection for the Penndel Food Pantry.

 First Day School families and Meeting volunteers will be taking turns accepting donations of nonperishable food items and new holiday gift items at the front porch of the meetinghouse at 453 West Maple Avenue, Langhorne PA 19047.

 Suggestions for items you may donate are listed below. You do not need to get out of your car. Our hosts will be ready to accept your donations. If you are not able to come on December 3, please consider leaving a donation prior to that date in the locker located on the meetinghouse porch. We need all items by Saturday, December 3. If you can lend a hand that day, please email nancypic1@verizon.net.

 Food donation suggestions:
Tomato Ketchup
Mayonnaise
Coffee
Juice Boxes
Cooking Oil
Oatmeal


Cereal or anything from the Healthy Pantry Donation List which includes:
Low-sodium or water-packed canned vegetables
Canned fruits in 100% juice or lite syrup
100% fruit and vegetable juices
Dried fruits and vegetables with no added sugar or fat
Whole wheat pasta, barley, brown rice, and wild rice
Whole grain cereal and rolled oats with at least 3g of fiber
Low-sodium or water packed canned meats and seafood such as chicken, tuna, salmon, and clams
Dried beans, peas, and lentils
Low-sodium nuts and nut butters such as peanuts and peanut butter, almonds, walnuts, and cashews
Shelf stable unflavored milk (1% or 2%), powdered milk or evaporated milk
Shelf stable non-dairy alternatives such as soy and almond milk (unsweetened)

Toy collection suggestions:

Young children: 
Board books
wood puzzles
soft dolls (diverse skin tones)
vehicles ages 0-3
large balls
Melissa & Doug type wooden toys and Thomas Train type vehicles are good for this age 

Children:
Baby dolls, Barbie/Fashion of various skin tones
cars, trucks (Hot Wheels and various sizes)
footballs, soccer balls, basketballs
jump ropes
puzzles
elementary age books
games (Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, Monopoly, Scrabble, Connect Four, Bingo, etc.)
Card games (Old Maid, Go Fish, etc.)

Teens: 
Gift cards for Amazon, Walmart, Target, ULTA, McDonalds, Chik-fil-A, Burger King, Barnes & Noble
nail polish sets, make-up palettes, body wash (men and women).
