The Spiritual Life of William Penn

  • Fallsington Friends Meeting 9300 New Falls Road Levittown, PA, 19054 United States (map)

Fallsington Friends invite you to join us for a special event on Saturday, January 20th. Doug Miller, Site Director at Pennsbury Manor, will present a talk followed by discussion on The Spiritual Life and Legacy of William Penn.

Penn was a spiritual seeker as many are today. In a time of great social and political turmoil, Penn sought comfort in different religious settings, finally finding the Quakers, known then as “Children of the Light.” What can we today learn from Penn’s spiritual journey? How do his ideas live on in modern Pennsylvania and among Quakers?

Please join us on Saturday, January 20th, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Coffee and tea will be available at 9:30 am, light refreshments will be available following the program at 12:30 pm. Our time together will include Doug’s presentation, a Question and Answer (Q&A) period, some small group discussion and ending with time for reflection.

All are welcome. The program is free of charge. We do ask that you register in advance by sending an email to fallsingtonfriendsevents@gmail.com . Please include your name and the number of people planning to attend. We look forward to seeing you on the 20th !
