The 2021 outdoor mitten tree.
Solebury Friends will be celebrating the Christmas season on Sunday, December 18th when they will present their annual Mitten Tree Program, followed by a covered dish lunch.
Inside the meetinghouse, there will be a full-size tree, where Friends can place mittens, gloves, or a scarf that will be donated to Mercer Street Friends.
The morning will begin with their usual meeting for worship from 10 to 11 am. The traditional program will have music, readings from the books of Luke & Matthew, candles lit by children of the meeting, a few musicians, Christmas carols and, as they have done for the past 16 years, the full version of the Bach chorale from which we take As We Leave This Friendly Place.
A covered dish lunch will follow at noon. All are welcome!
