This month the theme is “April Serenades” with The Kaufman Family and Trish & Kristina
About the Kaufman Family
Abby Kaufman has been passionate about the violin ever since she first laid eyes on one at the age of 3. Now, she plays with the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra, blending her love for orchestral music with her enjoyment of solo performances. Zach Kaufman has been honing his piano skills for five years and, two years ago, expanded his musical repertoire by picking up the clarinet. He currently plays with the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County, showcasing his talent across both instruments. Amy Kaufman, after playing piano in her younger years, decided just a year ago to join her family’s musical journey. Drawn to the rich tones of the cello, she’s enjoying her new instrument, particularly when her children’s patience shines through as she learns!
About Trish & Kristina
Trish Maxson, a flutist since age 11, and Katrina Cooper, who has played the oboe since she was 16, bring a unique and beautiful blend to their chamber music performances. Trish finds joy in playing with both friends and new acquaintances, embracing the ease that technology now brings to collaborative music-making. Katrina, a seasoned oboist who performs with the PennMed Symphony Orchestra and local chamber groups, shares this passion for chamber music, and together, their flute-oboe pairing creates a harmonious and vibrant sound.
