Bucks Quarter Friends, under the care of Quakertown Meeting, will be gathering virtually for a day of informative programming, worship, fellowship and business.
The day will begin with a program facilitated by Karen Tibbals, author and founder of Ethical Frames LLC, will speak about her latest book, Persuade, Don’t Preach: Restoring Civility Across the Political Divide. What happens when we encounter people who take positions we disagree with strongly? Karen suggests that we need to look underneath what people say, to see what we share with them, and when we do that, we can learn to talk to each other in a new way. Karen Tibbals is an attender at Quakertown Meeting and a member of Rahway-Plainfield Monthly Meeting in New York Yearly Meeting and a graduate of Earlham School of Religion with a degree in Quaker history.
The program will be followed by worship, lunchtime fellowship in break out rooms, then Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business.
