Labyrinth Debut and Movie Night

  • Yardley Friends Meeting 65 North Main Street Yardley, PA 19067 United States (map)

With summer right around the corner, Yardley Friends Meeting wants to extend a special invitation to the local community. At 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 13th (rain date May 20) they invite you to help celebrate the completion of their new labyrinth and attend the first Movie Night of 2023 at the meetinghouse at 65 North Main Street, Yardley, Pennsylvania.

The evening will begin with an introduction to the labyrinth, and a chance to walk the path and relax. The large yard will be available for children to run and play. Meeting members will provide picnic fare, or you can bring your own snacks and drinks.

Building the labyrinth has been a labor of love for Yardley Quakers. After years of planning, members moved stone, dirt, and sand, building it stone by stone. They completed the project last fall, but it wasn’t until the spring and the emergence of the newly planted grass that they felt ready to open it to the public.

As the sun goes down, it’s movie time! Partnering with Yardley Borough Parks and Recreation, tonight’s feature will be Pixar’s film, Soul.

This evening of family fun is free and open to the public; no reservation required, just show up! Come for all or part of the evening. Bring chairs or a blanket to set on the lawn to watch the movie. Questions? Contact Linda Jacobs Snyder at linda6stn@gmail.com or call 215-208-5389.
