We may feel pressure to be “merry and bright” during the holidays, rather than let ourselves feel and express the full range of our emotions. What can it look like to be compassionate toward ourselves while facing shifting family relationships, grief and loss, and the persisting COVID-19 pandemic? Where do we experience joy even during significant change? We will explore how to approach holiday rituals and traditions in ways that honor what we need.
Presented by Kelly Roman, an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church. She has served as the chaplain at Chandler Hall since 2017, providing bereavement support to patients and their families both at Chandler Hall and in the community.
