Eldership Workshop

The gifts and concerns of Quaker ministry are fairly well known among Liberal Friends. But what about the gifts of Eldership, of deep listening, accompaniment, discernment and careful attention to Quaker process? Join us for an exploration of the role of Eldership among Friends, its spiritual formation and function in promoting the testimony of harmony among Friends.

This workshop will be facilitated by George Schaefer, who has served Philadelphia Yearly Meeting as Care & Aging Coordinator, supporting meetings in their pastoral care function and assisting aging Friends since 2009. He is a member of Abington Friends Meeting and served as clerk of the meeting from 2016 to 2020.

Registration is required; you can register by clicking here. A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent the Thursday before the event.
