On Saturday, July 29th, Lehigh Valley Quakers will be holding a “Christmas in July” Peace Cookout to raise funds in support of the Christmas Peace Pilgrimage.
There will plenty of fun for the whole family, including games and crafts for the kids, yummy food and ice cream! The event will take place on the meetinghouse grounds located at 4116 Bath Pike, Bethlehem, PA. There is plenty of on-site parking available.
The Pilgrimage began in 1960 as a Christian witness for peace, symbolizing the journey of Mary and Joseph. People of all ages are welcome to join. During the 10 mile trek from Nazareth to Bethlehem, PA, walkers seek to reflect the non-violent life of Jesus Christ and his truth of forgiving love. For more information go to peacewalk.org.
