Bucks Quarterly Meeting of Friends, under the care of Buckingham Friends Meeting, will gather virtually on Sunday, February 20th for a day of informative programming, worship, fellowship and business.

The day will begin at 9:45 when Friends may enter the Zoom space for coffee and conversation. At 10 am we will have a program entitled Sharing the Ministry of Love and Respect Transform: Alternatives to Violence. Presented by .O, a member of Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting and a seasoned Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) trainer, .O leads workshops for individuals and groups to support their goals of healing our society’s legacies of racism, sexism, homophobia, and class privilege in order to build healthier and stronger relationships and organizations.

Drawing on their Quaker values rooted in love, peace, and social justice, .O’s practice embraces a care-based, trauma-informed, healing justice approach to community organizing in support of social and environmental justice. S/He has worked for over 25 years as a practitioner and educator in the areas of body work, self-care, social services, and health care support.

Meeting for Worship will follow at 11 am, with a lunch break with optional breakout rooms at noon. Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business will be begin at 12:45 pm, when we will hear annual reports from Doylestown, Makefield and Quakertown meetings. We will also hear from Friends Camp Association, and the preliminary 2022-23 budget will be presented for review and comment.
