Bristol Friends Meetinghouse was started in 1711 and was completed in
1713 with brick brought from England. In 1778 it was used as a
hospital by British troops. A large Sycamore tree in the yard
predates William Penn's arrival in 1682. Bristol Friends Meeting is
currently under the care of Fallsington Meeting. Bristol Friends Meeting will be open to the public on Historic Bristol Day, Saturday, October 17, 2009.
