Did you know that Jenna Seuffert (Middletown Meeting) and Jessica Leonard (Bristol Meeting) are volunteers for the mentoring program at Bristol Meeting? They help local students with their homework.
Judy Van Hoy, PYM librarian, suggests Peterson's newest reference book, Summer Opportunities for Kids and Teenagers, as a good source for your children this summer. The book is organized by state, with subject listings in the back. You might want to check it out at your library or bookstore.
From the Peace and Concerns Standing Committee: David Zarembka is available to Meetings to speak on a Peace Team undertaking, the African Great Lakes Project, which was requested by African Friends and is now being explored by an international delegation. The intention is to apply tested Friends methods in the troubled Great Lakes Region of Africa.
It's not too late to call Beverly Cassel, area coordinator of the Children's Friendship Project for Northern Ireland, if you are interested in hosting two teens for six weeks from July to mid-August. Beverly's number is 493-8511.
